I now have 3 metres of minefields complete and ready for the game. After the photos I have started boxing things up ready. Next up are the rivers and bridges of which there are quite a few in this game. Steve Graham and myself have split the work on the rivers but are using the same spray paint etc to ensure the river section match. I have 8 sections WIP and hope to finish them in the next couple of days.

Excellent scenery. Love the US Engineers - are they towing Vipers?

Thanks Andy, I'm not sure about the minelayers I think they are Skytrex and maybe described as a Frisbee Flinger.

Hi Richard,
ReplyDeletewhat make are the figures you have used for the engineers?

Hi Steve,
ReplyDeleteH&R Soviet mixed with H&R ACW. I was looking at the Cold War Gamer blog and noticed that the engineers wear a type of slouch hat and thought that in 6mm the ACW figures would work so I just chopped the ends of the rifles down a bit to make them a bit more modern looking. I have a load spare if you want some.

Frisbee Flingers, I wondered what they looked like. LoL. I'm thinking of making a couple of Viper trailers for my 1980's Brits - might even add a couple to the French AMX-VCI with trailers - you can never have enough mine clearers. Great improv' re the ACW figures. I might give that a try with some Adler figures. Is it just the VDV that use slouch hats or more regular engineers?
